eqgame.exe issue

Last night when I came home from work and I tried to get on EQ I got this pop up right after I finished patching. It said the following: eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to be closed. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.
Then I looked in my EQ folder and my eqgame.exe was missing. So I reinstalled it and it sayed on the patcher 'eqgame.exe' so I figured it was fixed. Then I remembered that I had firewall on and it blocks exe from installing onto your computer. So I disabled it reinstalled it then patched it once more, and it said the same thing befor. Was patching eqgame.exe but when I check my eq folder it was not there.
I have thought of the possibility that it could be a virus blocking the exe's, so I did a test. I unistalled starcraft and reinstalled it and the exe was running fine. So right now I really don't know what to do and could use all the help I could get like any computer knowlegde you know or the EQ customer service numbe. I can't find that on station.sony.com or everquest.com

Did you do a virus scan?

go into your everquest files and look for that file. delete it and do the patcher it should re load and then it will be fine

Atm its not in my EQ folder so I reinstalled it since it says that is patching it and I checked and it isnt in there.

Solutions include: fdisk, disk druid, partition magic, various other linux utils (lizard I think)

My little brothers been having issues with eqgame.exe too. Does yours refuse to aknowledge its own existence, too?

Whenever I have a problem with eqgame.exe, I just patch and it downloads the new one. Not sure what your problem is, sorry.
