The trailer has style, but I'm worried the action in the movie will be "blocky" (for lack of a better word).
Either way, the Sin City comics are definately a challenge to bring to the big screen and props go out to the director for trying to remain faithful to Miller's work and artistic style.

Anyone else ever wonder when they're going to make some of Harry Harrison's great stuff into movies?
Everything from the Stainless Steel Rat series to Bill the Galactic Hero would make great films. Personally, I'd like to see Deathworld, too.

It is based on a comic book called Sin City written and drawn by Frank Miller and published by Dark Horse.
And yes, the comic book is in black and white with sporadic use of colour. For example, the mini-series entitled 'That Yellow Bastard' features an antagonist with yellow skin (as seen in the trailer).

All the Sin City mini-series are well worth it.
I also recommend the mini-series '300', also written and drawn by Frank Miller (and published by Dark Horse). This is an excellent series, especially if you are a classical history buff. There is most likely a trade paperback edition available.
Since we are on the topic of Frank Miller, I would also recommend The Dark Knight Returns, which is available as a tenth anniversary edition trade paperback from DC. Also, his entire run on Marvel's Daredevil is amazing.
