Actually, no matter what John Stewart had to say (and he bagged Begala, too, who was just either too smart or too much of a puss to try and defend himself) I've always found Tucker Carlson to be one of those rare conservative commentators who has a genuine wit and flair for comedy and satire.

Carlson walked from the show, no one else did. And it seems quite the coincidence that CNN decided to end the show right when Tucker walked.

BTW, what bugged me most about Crossfire was that no guest was allowed to confront Novak about outing a CIA operative.

When Novak questioned a guest's patriotism, I saw the guest try to bring it up and both hosts immediately said "We're not going to talk about that here," like the guest had already been briefed that the topic was verboten.

Also, Carville is fucking insane.

Yeah, indeed despite what Stewart had to say, I ate the show up like popcorn.

Carlson may have talent, but he's a gigantic douche nonetheless. He was one of the primary assholes who lied about the Wellstone memorial and smeared his memory - and later admitted he hadn't even watched the thing so he was talking straight out of his butt.
