Anything is addictive if you have a personality predisposed to having an addiction. Yes, there are people addicted to EverQuest. 100% correct. It is not someone elses job to babysit you while you feed or flee from your addiction. I played too much, and i don't miss it as much as i would like to have beleived i would.It's up to the gamers to prioritize their lives responsibly, they (SOE) insist.
I agree with you 100% Ari - I played and played and played for years. Every now and then I find myself back in that non-stop, race to get home rat-race to start another group, lead another raid, or just simply sit there and chat with "friends." So I told her she was violating both of those Traditions and she should take steps to rectify that, either by disassociating herself from OLGA or by ending her crusade. She couldn't do both and adhere to the Traditions which OLGA adopted. I also pointed out links on her site that violated the same Traditions.The Twelve Traditions of AA wrote:10.
