Eh. It'll all work itself out sooner or later. I'm confident that we'll see nationwide recognition of same-sex Mairrage within my lifetime.
Now I just gotta find a cute guy to marry~

So far, this is the only link I can find that shows the benefits available to domestic partner. It also gives a comparison of what married folks get currently.

I can't tell for sure if it's the newest most up to date list or not, but I'm pretty impressed with it. It is not perfect, but as was mentioned, it's a start.

That seems like a reasonable start to me.

Still does not have the government positions within the state to offer same sex benifits as heterosexual counterparts are offered for thier spouse. Also does not for other non-government positions in corperations and such, though they are not required to do for heterosexual marriages either, but they do anyways.
In related news a step backwards was made earlier. Governer Granholm in Michigan signed into law a bill removing all same sex benifits that are currently provided by the state. The reasoning was the passage of the ban on gay marriage in Michigan so now it is legal to remove benifits that they were allowed already....
So to those who say banning gay marriage never hurt anyone, in Michigan benifits that are currently offered are being removed due to it. The unions are of course not fighting this as due to the vote they have no legal leg to stand on.

I do not honestly know the text of the proposition that was voted on by the public in California and whether it conflicts with the will of the public on this matter. I personally do not object to the steps taken, but if they do in fact go against the will of the citizens then I don't see this as a step in the right direction.
End the hypocrisy!
