It was a shit show. Chris Wallace was a horrible moderator. Tucker would have been a better moderator, but since he is an "opinion" contributor Fox probably disqualified him.

We really need someone with a sense of humor to moderate. They can diffuse the arguments by making fun of both of them for acting like children and get them back on topic. I think Joe Rogan would be awesome.

Just reinforces my desire to have someone better than Trump as a Conservative alternative, but there is no way I can vote for Biden with his pandering of the Leftists.

I don't think Wallace could have done any better with the constraints he had on him (try to be "invisible" and "professional"). It was never going to be particularly tame, and any moderation was going to upset Trump no matter how it played out. It's not his thing to be shut down. I'm pretty sure Biden went out with a mission to stir up Trump as well, and make the whole thing about Trump not him.

The US political system has basically been broken. I blame Gingrich.

I also think Trump was out to stir up Joe. Joe has been shown to have a short fuse in the past basically offering to fight people in videos. I think Trump wanted to get Joe to do that on national TV.

Trump was also trying to fluster Biden, make him appear confused and reinforce the mental decline story. I think it was working a little - Biden was definitely fishing for the right words in lots of places, but Trump was going too hard and obscuring the effect.
