First, I just want to pat myself on the back for rediscovering my forum account info which is really incredible because the password and associated email address are 17 years old.

It's crazy to think this game still has its claws in me after 20 years. I'm dabbling with a level 9 bard on the green server but 14 year old me must have been made of tougher stuff because this shit is too hard now! I'm not the bard I was before. I doubt I'll be able to stick with it much longer.

Jesus, at this point I barely remember anyone on Brell (with some exceptions) but I'll be damned if I don't still check this forum every few months. I've been dabbling with EQEmu since 2006 and have had some fun times but my relatively brief stint on Brell from 2000-2003 will always be my most cherished memories of the game.

Shout out to anyone who cares! Being on this forum always sends me down a rabbit hole on the Internet Archive so I can revisit some of my old favorite EQ websites from back in the day, so there goes my Friday (that's okay).

Also, I think it's hilarious that I feel like a god damned EQ encyclopedia filled with tons of archaic, useless information. My friends and I will reminisce sometimes and there's always a lot of grasping at vague memories and obscure details from OG EQ but fortunately I've hoarded all of my EQ knowledge into a tidy corner of my brain and I can always set them straight when needed. "No you dummy, the undead knight in the Qeynos catacombs dropped the +5 HP limestone ring!"

I made a character after getting fed so many damn youtube videos. I will probably grow tired after a week or two since I work 9 to 11 hour days now and don't have the time to do it like I once did.
