Ladies and gentlemen.

The legendary saga of Sanornik, The Tradescammer Too Stupid To Get Away With It, initially occurred on the previous incarnation of the Brell Rants board - when we were located on the EZBoard network.

When we moved off EZBoard to here, we preserved the thread on EZBoard - but EZBoard had other plans. Without notice, they erased the board from their network as we'd stopped paying for it.

Fortunately, the text of the legend has been preserved, and with much gratitude to those who preserved it, Brell Rants presents the saga in its entirety, in Word.doc format. Graphics and board formatting are lost to the ether, but the text can be found here:

A few notes:

Morsereg's infamous mispost occurred on Page 8 of the original thread. A minor catchphrase, "Page Eighted", meaning "screwed up really badly", has been uttered in EQ and specifically Brell circles for some time as something of a little-used colloquialism. Because you can't see what 'page' of the thread this post came from here, I'm making the note here. Other catchphrases from the forum which have entered common to uncommon EQ parlance are SONOFABITCH!!!!! and Dick Fuckin' Tracy (the former coined by Morsereg himself when he made the mispost, the latter a title granted to Gemstones by myself when she deduced Dadani and Morsereg were one in the same, originally spoken by the character of Keyhoe to Jack Cates in the movie '48 hours').

There may have been silly pictures or whatever thrown in... a cliche "PWNED!!!" or somesuch here and there. Again, I'm sorry, but these are lost to the ether, although I feel the essence of the incident which shall live in infamy remains quite nicely here.

The incident, I believe, remains as the single most viewed thread on any EQ board ever. It was all but slashdotted, having appeared on every major EQ forum (Graffe's, Monkly Business, Safehouse, Planet Everquest, etc.) Woody of GU Comics made a special cartoon of the incident (now also, sadly, lost to the ether, but I'll try to get it from him soon, if he still has a copy of it.) It was slashdotted in every way other than actually appearing on slashdot, and for 24 hours the EZBoard server was screwed into the ground by the bandwidth hit we took.

It was a moment in EQ history, and thanks to some wonderful Brellians, the moment is restored for all who care to relive it.
