When I was a kid, my parents got this gadget that supposedly talked to plants. It was probably bogus, but you'd stick it into the soil near a plant and the different sounds that came out told you what was going on with the plant: happy, sad, whatnot.
I did it a few times and honeslty? It scared the holy shit out of me. I don't know why.
