Limbaugh is not about discourse, Limbaugh likes to stoke the flames of hate and anonmosity with great vigor, so hateful responses to him are to be expected. When you flame it and inspire and encourage it, you get people feeling that back towards you. The law of attraction and all that shit.

But discourse is not the benchmark. The benchmark is Speech and the free excercise therof. While the speech may be offensive and even hate filled the acceptable response to such speech can never be violent in a free society.

You say that when you engage is hateful speech "you get people feeling that back towards you". Are we to be governed by feelings or by the rule of law? Too many politically motivated actions are justified by "feelings" rather than by logic and constitutional thought.
