Snow White and the Huntsman

Saw this today, since we had free tickets to a movie, and didn't want to pay the surcharge to watch MiBIII in IMAX. My thoughts:
The story isn't -too- bad a take on the old classic, probably better than most. SFX is well executed.

The positives: Charlize Theron makes an incredibly awesome villain, and should be contacted to play as many evil chicks as possible. I could probably sit and listen to Chris Hemsworth recite the dictionary, and cream my pants after an hour or two of it.

The bad news:
Kristen Stewart is bad. She is awful. I can act better than her. A fucking wet paper bag can out act her. Kermit T. Frog has ten times the facial expressions in his range, and fifty times the vocal expressions. Entirely alone, she ensures that I don't want to watch this ever again. I don't want to watch ANY movie with her in it, ever again. God DAMN is she bad.

I still want to see this in a theater because it's supposed to be a gorgeous film, but will do a cheapo matinee.

Oh, it is gorgeous. It's full of pretty people (excepting, again, Kristen Stewart) in pretty places. Or gorgously not-pretty places. It's just a wonderful example of how one bad actor/actress can drag down a film.

Yeah, I kind of want to see this on the screen too, even though I heard Kristen Stewart is the Keanu Reeves of today.

I swear the Penn State pedophile Jerry Sanduskie plays the queens brother.
I think the Thor guy is still playing the Thor guy.

The only reason to see this movie is to see if you can reconize who are playing the dwarves.
