Has anyone played this? I was watching some gameplay videos and it looks really fun/pretty.

It's getting a lot of good reviews. Haven't actually played it though.

I picked this up last night and played for a couple hours - pretty fun! There are a ton of cut scenes but once you get to play, you are always fighting something so it doesn't really get boring. The game is more eye candy than anything else really, but I will say that Bayonetta is fuckin' fabulous!

Yeah, the game is so freakin stylish. I love the diva-walk-whilst-shooting.

The only thing that'd make this game better is: More blood, more moves, and a drag-queen as the main character.

hah!

I love how she uses her hair for everything. hair boot stomp = bayonetta naked, something even I can appreciate.

Oh and the guns on her feet are hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing when I first did the dance-on-your-body-while-shooting-feet-guns move. tapity tap tap

Any truth to the PS3 version sucking compared to the XBox version?

Oh man, you should get the full game, I'm not usually too into console games but this one has me hooked. I've been playing through on normal difficulty but it's still pretty hard because I'm not azn or something.

This part took me about 2 hours to beat a couple nights ago, so fucking hard!

I did notice that that youtube video was made using a PS3. I also noticed it takes a lot longer to load and has some weird glitches that I've never noticed playing with my 360...

<3 Yahtzee, and yeah, that was one of his more mild reviews.

So, did we ever get a final verdict on this one? I was kinda thinking about adding it to my list, but never really heard anything other than the few bits scattered here.

I really like it, however I unlocked hardmode and can't get past the second level now - hah. The story was interesting and if you can get past the cheesiness of the game it's fun. Not to mention it's one of the prettiest games I've ever played~

Is it more Devil May Cry style FFFFFFUUUUUUU hard or is it more like God of War on the hardest difficulty hard?

Never played Devil May Cry and I've only played a couple hours of God of War so I'm not too sure on that. I would guess more "FFFFFFUUUUUUU hard" though. Playing through on easy was pretty fun though! lol

Devil May Cry 4 is like smash your controller through your TV and pee on the broken bits kind of hard. It's like Ninja Gaiden 2 hard.

EDIT: I also heard that they patched the PS3 version of Bayonetta to fix the stutter and lag issues. :D

Ninja Gaiden 2 was quite easy actually. However, Ninja Gaiden Black is an entirely different beast.
