Quotes, Proverbs, and Sayings

Some phrases have very straightforward meanings but sometimes they strike me with a different meaning first.

"Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you."
This roughly means to focus on the positive and the negative will pass. I first read it as a warning to remember to watch your back.
