Democratic debates and audience "reaction" graph
My Google-fu is weak tonight; is there any information about how it works? I keep finding reactions to the reaction, but no mechanics of how they're measuring response yet.

On the most basic level they sit a panel down to watch the debate and they have dials in their hands. the more they like what they are hearing the more they turn up the dials. the less they like it the more they turn the dials down. A computer analyzes the individual and average responses in real time. Then they can play the debate back with the lines moving up an down in sync with what the candidates are saying.
