Battlestar Galactica: Razor

I missed it when it aired, but a friend of mine DVR'd it luckily, and I watched it at his place last night.

Holy shit, that was great. It was awesome to see events from Pegasus' angle, from the attacks on the colonies up to Lee taking command, and a bit after. Their running into the "old" Cylons was a nice twist. The whole movie filled in quite a few gaps, and explained a few things from back as far as the miniseries. Now we know why Bill Adama picked up on the fact that Leobin was a Cylon back on Ragnar, a little more on the origins of the hybrids, and the whole dynamic between Admiral Cain and their captive 6 was a great twist.

But above all, my favorite thing in that entire movie was the following line...

Hidden Information!

"Kara Thrace will lead the human race to its end."

Throws one hell of a spin on the end of season 3, eh? I'm so looking forward to 4.

I also enjoyed it. The backstory about the first hybrid really bridged the gap between old cylons and new cylons. The Admiral Cain pegasus backstory was okay, but the actors over acted it and it seemed kinda cheesy. Lee Adama is back with his over the top angst which I also don't like. Still enjoyable.

The one thing that pisses me off is that Kendra Shaw is gone. She was such a cool character and the actress did a top notch job.

It definitely lent more sympathy to Admiral Caine, especially given how she and Gina (Pegasix) got on.

I keep waiting for the soundtrack to come out. The composer has been bugged to death to release it, and said it might come out w/the season 3 soundtrack.
