So,
I am a pretty big Danny Elfman fan. On the Showtime channel, I caught a viewing of an old 80's cult classic that looked pretty interesting in the description.
I am into some pretty weird stuff, by some people's standards. This is up there. Right up there with Creating Rem Lazar. I'm a big fan of rock operas/musicals - and independant film. This movie is set up like a highschool play - most of the props are 2D and low-budget. You can tell many of the actors/actresses in the film clearly have NO past experience. Watching it is like watching a really well done first-time experiment. As it turns out, it's one of the VERY first movies that Elfman scored. The music is brilliant. The audio quality is suprisingly fitting for the movie. Some of the musical dubs are mono/manual/older recordings from the 30s or so - and some of the newly recorded musical/misc numbers sound as if they were produced with the same equipment.
The movie is pretty disturbing and at sometimes totally bogus 2 da max. I guess i like that sort of stuff *shrug*
I was delighted to find some clips on Youtube.

I love Danny Elfman, he'll always be the Oingo Boingo guy to me. It was the edgy middle school music!
