Got it. As good as the first one. Some minor differences:
1) No more grenades.
2) Medic units now have a 'Uberhealth' powerup. As they use their heal gun, a bar slowly fills; faster if the target is injured. When it reaches 100%, the Medic can use the powerup, giving him and his target with the health gun limited invulnerability.
3) Most maps are VERY quick - some can be won in under a minute.
4) Pyros do a bit more damage than they used to, and at close range they can flatten the unwary HW guy in seconds.
5) Said HW guys aren't nearly as accurate as they used to be at distance. Still, they make a ferocious team with a good medic.
Balance is real good between classes. I should have some more to post on Portal when I get around to it.

I like TF2 quite a bit so far. Seems pretty fun. I never played the first one.
Portal is probably the best part of The Orange Box IMO. Short but sweet.

TF2 is one of the few games I can cope with PvP on. I enjoy Engineer and Medic classes pretty much evenly - Medic is a lot more fun if there's a competent HW guy around who actually realizes that the Medic needs somewhere to hide while tagging behind. Removing grenades was a good idea - made the class differentiation a lot better.

I'm a big Pyro fan myself, so I miss the grenades, especially against built up turrets. But yeah, I don't miss base rushes by 3 HW guys all armed with grenades - that shit was WEAK.

Yeah - spies are a real pain for engineers. You quickly learn to put a bullet in everyone you see and patrol your stuff regularly to watch for them.
