Spiderman 3

Post by Minute »

I loved the movie, but I do think it was the weakest of the 3. Still gets a 9.2 of 10.

High Points include amazing fight scenes, even more impressive than the last couple movies. The fight between Harry & Spiderman is freaking awesome. The special effects of Sandman are extremely phenomenal. Especially right after he first gets turned into Sandman. So cool. Comic value was pretty decent in this movie too. Had me laughing in several parts.

Low Points include semi-cheesy story line. I hate when any good movie has to throw too much love bs in a movie and take away what makes a movie great. Venom was an extreme disappointment. His role in the movie was so so short. We're talking about one of the coolest characters in the entire Spiderman universe, and he got squat time on screen. If they had rolled him in to be the main bad guy of 4 then sure, but he showed up, did some bullsheet and then got smoked. So weak. And then there was the crying... holy jeez I think I counted 7 times in this movie where Parker is crying like a lil punk. Waaa Waaa... wtf is that man???

It was still a killer movie, and I highly recommend going to see it. I just think they tried to stuff too much into this one movie. 3 bad guys? They should have just left Venom out and gave him his own movie IMO.

Damn, that's disappointing. Venom is my favorite Spider Man character. In the previews, it seemed like he would be the main bad guy if anyone. I'm sure I'll see this sooner or later.

WTF? Sandman?! I didn't see him in any previews...awesome. In the comic series does Spider Man ever actually defeat Venom? Yea, I almost typed that with 2 E's instead of an E and an O.
I'd like to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my ass.

Bleh, not much screen time for Venom eh?

Any hints for Spider-Man 4 or is this it? Just curious.

I heard something that Toby isn't doing anymore Spiderman movies but the guy that played Eric on That 70's Show might be taking his place as Peter Parker if they do more movies.

I heard something like that too, and also Dunst said she was done with it too. IMO Tophor Grace could do it, he plays his role in this very very well. He'd have to beef up a little more (even though he put on 20 lbs for this role) but it would be doable. Only thing is if he was Venom in 3, how are they going to cast him as Parker in 4? When the movie ends there is no real suggestion for another one, like all the others did. So maybe there won't be a 4th, which would suck big time :(

I remember back when they originally were casting for Spiderman they had Jake Gyllenhaal who would have also made a great Peter Parker, but he turned them down which made them get Toby... Jake went on to do sicko puke movies like Brokeback Mountain so I'm thinking... no. Ryan Reynolds would be cool, but he doesn't really have that dorky innocence thing going for him enough to do it. So I dunno...

What about that guy that plays Clark Kent in Smallville? with the right attire and hair style he might be able to pull off the role.

Looks too much like Clark Kent. =) He is good at the goofy/dork role, though. Bigtime.

I thought it was kind of disappointing in that it out-cheesed it's last movie. Spiderman was too emo in this. Singing, dancing....emo.

The best I can say was that the special effects were good and it was at least better than Ghost Rider.

If I video taped myself shitting into a dunkin donuts box and trying to return it saying someone shit in my donuts it would be better than ghost rider...

No, I knew hes been the singer of the band since its inception. I listen to the band.

Hes more known for his role in Requiem for a Dream than anything else hes ever done, though.
