FF13 not exclusive to PS3?

I read this on a few gaming sites, but haven't seen a solid link to confirm it. Anyone else?

if this is true I'm just going to buy a 360 right now because FF would be the only reason to choose PS3 over 360.

Yeah, the best link I found was http://www.cubed3.com/news/7323 which cites a German site and I don't read German. And that site said there'd be 6 games in total and not all PS3 exclusive, which is different from the main FFXIII not being PS3 exclusive.

And all of the above is very unconfirmed :)

That's exactly what I was thinking. It would make a lot of sense for Square to shift to both platforms and I know they haven't explicitly signed an exclusive contract with Sony (know meaning read it on different gaming sites), so I'm sure it's on the table for them. Not like it's due out for another year anyway.

I think I read it was more along the lines of psp/ nintendo ds/ and so on, not any of the big boys. Also, new business model has been introduced in a statement by square-enix. They are now planning on re-visiting all old ff games and re working/doing them.

It has been public knowledge ever since last year's E3 that FFXIII and that set of games would be mixing platforms. One of them if not two would be PS3 exclusives.

It is all part of the Fabula Nova Crystalis project.

Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII (action oriented), Final Fantasy Agito (Cell phone)

Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fate is DS and Crystal Chronicles: The crystal bearers is for Wii.

Square-Enix is not a Sony exclusive developer and has not been for a while. So while 360 is not out of the picture it is not confirmed yet and there will be expectation of later release dates. FFXIII will be demoed at E3 this year, but change of format it doesn't mean much without the press there.
