I always found a dilema with the Civ games. At lower AI settings I own all the time. At higher settings I get owned all the time.

No matter what path I choose, or how big an army or tech or ag base...no matter religion or politics...that is the way it is.....period.

At max high I would actually not even get out of the starting blocks without the barbarians kicking my ass. I H8 THOSE BASTURDS!!!!!!

Well in older versions of the game the AI actually cheated. This time it is a bit more balanced out.

This version is way more balanced. Won a game on second highest difficulty with 7 other civs. Shit took forever.

I'm guessing you all turn off all of the victory options besides Conquest? I usually never get into any protracted battles and usually end up winning either by Cultural, Diplomatic or Space Race.
