as a reply to Harlowe's post, I had no communication to SR after most have me on ignore without even giving me a chance to reply or explain, thats why I came here to get flamed...kinda my punishment... Vladire IS right...I dont have alot of time to raid...
Someone mentioned white lie...ya...thats kinda how I saw it too. Like telling your kids to behave, Santa Claus is watching them or daddy is just gone on vacation, they will get to see them one weekend a month till he comes back.

I really don't see why it would have been so painful to tell the truth, especially to those that were on very friendly terms with you. It's not a big deal and you wouldn't have made people that considered you a friend feel used.
It doesn't seem to bother you in the least how you've made those friends feel.
Oh and anyone that would do this ...

Fear of rejection? Lack of communication? Rationalization emerging from a difficult decision?I really don't see why it would have been so painful to tell the truth
Who knows? My previous post about people's heads being deprived of oxygen was out of place. It looks like a lot of wires got crossed here, and a fairly decent dialogue is developing.
(Personal opinion: Open up the recruit section to Am and discuss it there. Doing it here just looks like people airing dirty laundry).

THey keep trying to talk as if they're on an even keel with Watchers, SR, and Enshadowed...and they keep failing miserably.Lunarstorm wrote:Saphdia, the queen of kicking people while they're down,
Just because you're raiding the same zones they defeated 2 years ago doesn't mean you are their equals. Now shut the fuck up Cracker.

You make good points Chants, with the exception that if fear of rejection were an issue, airing it here would have been the last thing they'd do.
Saying things like "expecting to kiss ass" isn't trying to clear the air very constructively either. Whether it was truly how they felt or not. They were better off moving on then bringing it here to the side-show.

People hop the higher end guild apps a lot. Not sure what the issue is here, except for, as Chants put it, a 'little white lie'.
Want to know what a guild is like? Raid with them. Oh wait, you have to be a recruit to raid, so...not too astounding that people having 'fitting sessions' withdraw apps once in a while.
Though, honestly. Might have done a bit of good to look at the recruitment page. If I didn't have a lot of time to raid, I wouldn't app to a known raiding guild.
Oh, and thanks for posting Tondy
. Not only does she have a point, but someone told me I went to the Tondy School of Typing recently in a channel, and everyone laughed.
I just realized I read all of what she said without reading any errors the first time.
Dyslexia anyone?

I don't really see the point in taking cheap-shots at Vladire. When a person is shopping for a guild or what is their in-game "home", they are going to want to be sure it's the place for them.
Who's business is it if the woman is in 10 guilds in 2 months? She's never been ranted for heinous, unethical behavior so who the hell cares.
