You can't prevent it but you can kill him while he's in his cell. Personally, I wouldn't, 'cause getting free stuff from the demon is pretty cool. Also, anyone know if as a mage you can kill the blood mage douche at the start and prevent Redcliffe? I'm doubting it, but I'm curious and not at that point again.

Traveler was pretty easy, I thought. I'm having a hard time with the combat achievements.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
Traveler pisses me off because I played a 65+ hour game as my Rogue and instead of helping the old guy at the alienage, I picked the lock and snuck in through the back.. which stopped me from going INTO the Orphanage, which inherently killed any chance I had of getting Traveler (even though my game has like 98% of the world explored or some shit).Fobbon Lazyfoot wrote:Traveler was pretty easy, I thought. The combat achievements are retarded easy. Which one are you having a problem with? The 250 dmg one? Mage - Use the mana clash. Rogue - Use the archery skill at the end of the second row. Warrior - Use killing blow or w/e it is with a 2h sword.

I'm starting to get some wood reading everyone talking about this game.
Is it just a single player game?
It sounds very interesting and well worth taking a look at.

Yeah, it's only single player. 4 party members, much like Baldur's Gate/NWN/etc..Freecare Spiritwise wrote:I'm starting to get some wood reading everyone talking about this game.

Its honestly the best single-player game I've played in a long timeIt sounds very interesting and well worth taking a look at.
I haven't done the 250 damage one but that should be easy once I make an archery rogue. I haven't done ANY of the ones where you have to kill 50 enemies with a given skill, like mighty blow/whirlwind/etc. Do you have to do these on the main character? My first playthrough I was a rogue my first playthrough and didn't even bother trying to get achievements, I just enjoyed the game. Second time was a primal mage, now I'm on a healer mage. The combat achievements are retarded easy. Which one are you having a problem with? The 250 dmg one? Mage - Use the mana clash. Primal mages are OP. I'm pretty sure I soloed more than half the game after I got out of ostagar.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
DW warrior can get the whirlwind one extremely easy. Even if you wait towards the end of the game, there are so many trash mobs you can kill in 1 blow. Let them gather around you and pop whirlwind and watch them all die.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I wonder if they will explain the scene near the end where Sandal looks like he went on a crazy rampage.
"Sandal, what are you doing here? You're surrounded by corpses!"
"En-CHANT-ment!"
<enchantment window opens>
....wtf?

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
Has anyone gotten the Return to Ostagar addon yet? I would have normally already gotten this and told you why you need/can skip it, but the PS3 version is (as usual) delayed.
