As for the NAACP, just ask Jesse Jackson and Bill Cosby how the Democrat party is a "vanilla shake". Ask them how the Democrats have trapped them and pandered to them while making no effort to solve their underlying issues.
As for the AFL-CIO, well, Clinton signed NAFTA, didn't he?
Look, I don't buy the argument that Jerry Falwell should have been renting the Lincoln Bedroom by the hour in order to get Clinton to sponsor programs encouraging abstainance among teens. Haven't the supporters of that travesty, the McCain Feingold law, been incessantly arguing that money and lobbying in politics are a major problem? So major, in fact, that kicking the First Amendment to the curb is warranted to stop it?
And yet, I'm hearing the argument that the Religious Right are amoral hypocrites for NOT using bribery and influence-peddling ENOUGH? And I'm hearing Bush criticized by Pastor Chuck because he's trying to GOVERN instead of trying to kiss ass to his campaign donors?
Is it any wonder that I seem incredulous that such arguments are presented to me?
