Did you note who the author was Harlowe? David Rose. Hardly an "opinion piece" kinda guy.

David Rose is an investigative journalist and a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, who has worked for The Guardian, The Observer and the BBC. He was the first journalist to interview the Tipton Three after their release from Guantanamo Bay. Rose is the author of six books, including Guantanamo and, his latest, The Big Eddy Club, about the history of racial injustice in small-town Georgia. His awards include the David Watt Memorial Prize and the One World award for human rights journalism.

Anyway, here are some of Rose's journalistic efforts. He's clearly not a right wing blogger with an ax to grind. You can read them and make up your own mind, instead of letting Lurker Jedi mind-trick you into a knee jerk reaction.

And the "investigative journalist" wrote a dishonest opinion piece attacking the science behind climate change, which seems to be his current occupation. Here's another article debunking Rose.

This is pretty amusing and it dovetails nicely with our discussion about rampant ignorance. Even though the scientific evidence supporting human caused climate change is getting stronger the result in America isn't that more people become informed. Quite the opposite. Huge segments of the population (and a plurality of Tea Party Republicans like Embar) cling even more strongly to their denial and their wacky conspiracy theories about a global conspiracy.

And there'll always be a dishonest hack like Rose posting dishonest and easily debunked propaganda pieces to feed their ignorance.
