If the House had been assigned proportionatly to vote, parliment style, there would be 213 Dem legislators, 209 Rep, 5 Libertarians, and 8 assorted others.
I don't think that's really correct. Unbiased districts would tend to eliminate minor parties because they'd tend to a minority in every district rather than taking a few. It should even out to the correct distribution between the major parties though.
That isn't to say unbiased districting is bad, in fact it should be mandatory!

Doesn't really matter all that much who gets what proportions: What matters is the massive number of districts where the primary is the only election.
So back to the point. My balls are still dry and Barry and Congress are too busy giving money away to Egypt and Pakistan to take care of me. Anyone else willing to moisten them up?
