I never said it wasn't, but it's one of those things that is so common in the game that there's really nothing they can do about it short of fixing their shitty coding.Kulaf wrote:Well one item on your list I know for a fact is total BS. Bard song twisting was ALWAYS a design goal from day 1. I spoke to GZ on the phone during EQ1 beta about it while he was trying to write a patch for my video card, and he confirmed that. He also confirmed it time and time again on the boards.
But seriously if you need someone to tell you that getting past a door that you don't have a key for by using a game mechanic that has NOTHING to do with doors is an exploit.......your moral compass needs some tweaking.

Getting through doors without a key is exploiting. Whether they can fix it in code or not is irrelevant - it's against the code of conduct and therefore against the terms of use.

I think your big mistake was telling everyone to issue petitions. You had no control over what they are going to send and if a bunch of them are being dicks and swearing, then it's considered abusive and they aren't going to listen to you.
Maybe a handful of people you trust to be level-headed could have all done it - but telling everyone to isn't going to help make your case. It's only going to hurt you.

And you thought that was going to help the situation?Fallakin Kuvari wrote:Well I know I got at least 1 warning out of the whole thing, but that's cause I cursed them the fuck out in a petition.

He can't really control who decides to send one on their own, though, and it was bound to happen somewhere in there.Harlowe wrote:I think your big mistake was telling everyone to issue petitions. I'll note that my petition where I cursed them out was a follow-up petition many days later and after I saw that these douchebags got Tunat'Muram before their name rather than the 'of the Tunat'Muram' that we got.Select wrote:Fallakin, you're a long-time player. You really should have known better.
I'm also a former guide, I was more enraged than everyone cause the GM was there handing out rezzes (thats used to be a no no, unless it was a GM event... which it wasn't).

Someone in their guild could have a friend GM/guide. Wonky shit happened on Brell/Cazic when people knew insiders.

Pretty sure it still is a no no for them to interfere with anything that isn't bugged.Fallakin Kuvari wrote:I'll note that my petition where I cursed them out was a follow-up petition many days later and after I saw that these douchebags got Tunat'Muram before their name rather than the 'of the Tunat'Muram' that we got.Select wrote:Fallakin, you're a long-time player. As a guild leader, my closest friend when dealing with the GMs were Jack and Jim.

I avoided GMs. Always tended to end in more trouble in the end anyway.
Enshadowed always seemed to be knee deep in GMs however, but not usually because they called them. Go go Plane of Tranqulilty Ogre Wall!!!

To be fair about it, i accidentally illusioned through the door, however thats not the point, since the door could have been opened for me, with a key, to sit in there and see what they did as well. So i was sitting on the other side of the door, mage illusioned through, CoH'd people in to get enough people to plant a banner, and they formed and zerg'd.

I think they had one that was designated as ours. Probably floated around invisible waiting for us to do something zany or malicious.
Energy is neither created or destroyed, so it is fairly safe to assume the particles that make up your body will exist forever. We are all eternal.
