What about implied consent ? You may have a DNR and if you call the ambulance and no one can produce it then you can tell them all you want "don't treat me" but the second you fall out it's implied consent and they'll work on you based on the assumption MOST PEOPLE want their lives to be saved. Also holds water with someone too fucked up to know what they're talking about, the second they go down they're being treated. The assumption is that the mother would want the child saved, however the areas get grey in instances' like my friend who's baby CAN NOT survive without the vent, however she will be able to at a LATER point in time. She's being kept alive by artificial means, only until such time as she's able to be on her own, such as in the suggested situation where the assistance is required until the body can support itself on its own, where the possibility exists. In the case of brain death things seem a whole lot more black and white.

Dennie's just named a new grand slam breakfast after octomom. 8 fertilized eggs, no sausage and the other people in the restaurant have to pay for it.
But seriously. I completely agree with a law like that. Sane people don't take a shotgun blast of fertilized eggs to the uterus. Sane people implant 1 maybe 2 eggs at a time, and go back to the clinic once a month until one of them takes.

For the second time in less than a month Octomom is down a publicist.

The new PR rep for octuplet mother Nadya Suleman filed his walking papers after spending less than a month repping the mom and her supersized brood, Usmagazine.com reported.

I hear having kids with disabilites yields a nice fat state check, she has 2-3 not counting whatever problems the infants might have.

With all the money she is getting for interviews, etc I wonder if the hospital, etc will be coming after her for a little reimbursement.

Isn't she getting a new house out of this as well - compliments of some creative financing?

I imagine a plethora of fundies are helping her out and digging deep into their pockets to help this brood mare out, because she's like Pro-life XXXtreme to them. She reminds me of the Alien queen popping out endless eggs from her massive hanging sac.

I was told today by an unreliable source that some company offered to clothe all her kids (the littlest ones anyway) until age 5, and I believe the older ones as well for 5 years, and she turned down the offer. Something about how she wouldn't get a reality show out of the deal as well. Like I said the source was unreliable but I know the woman was hoping for a reality series where she gives advice to other mothers or something along those lines.
