If things are done well, a *lot* will change between beta and RTM. However, I have lost significant confidence in Vanguard... But that's due to more details I can say here.
I'll just note that Sigil has a fair amount of internal issues. Depending on the side of the fence you're on, it's either "normal" company growing pains (or product development aches), or it's ... something else.
I'm having fun with WoW but wish they'd release the expansion faster. The good news: the WoW expansion is a lot of content. They gamer in me thinks they could take a page from Sony's experience and work on less content and ship more often. The gaming industry professional in me applauds their emphasis on quality over quantity.

Loon
Yea they do. A metric fuckton of people have left sigil. Its deja vu all over again ala EQ's mass exodus.
I stopped playing WoW after clearing AQ. The night we finished i logged off for the last time never to come back. I still have my character though i thought i might sell him off since he is pimped out like a mother fucker.

Yeah - from EQ2 land, Sony's not changed at all. On the good side, EQ2 is still fun for the casual raider (lots to do etc.) but I really feel bad for the hardcore people right now.
Be really interesting to see where the adventure pack (due soon) and next expansion (due fall) take it.
I officially quit EQ2 this weekend. I have no desire to play it anymore. So I guess I will putz around with Morrowind again and play more Civ IV until Vanguard lets me in Beta.
