Re: Suppress the vote
I thought it was a pretty big deal in September. Though I seriously doubt Drudge or Fox News had little, if anything, to say about it.

I think you thought that it had fizzled out just like you thought it would, or you wouldn't have said anything. Didn't you say in the first days of the scandal that they serve at the whim of the President and there's no story there?Kulaf wrote:Yeah because I actually thought I might get a civilized response from you rather than personal attacks.

Not really, I know there are people here that use those as primary news sources and I have a pretty good feeling those two would have glossed over it.

Yup....and that's what's going to happen with this investigation.Lurker wrote:I think you thought that it had fizzled out just like you thought it would, or you wouldn't have said anything. Re: Suppress the vote
An investigation already happened. The DOJ issued a 540 page report and recommended a special prosecutor.
I was going to apologize for saying you were ignorant earlier, but now I have to apologize for not saying it forcefully enough.

I use Fox like I would use any other news source.....as a tool. Most of the time Fox is fluff but they had a really hard hitting investigation of the UN that pretty much every other news organization ignored.Harlowe wrote:Not really, I know there are people here that use those as primary news sources and I have a pretty good feeling those two would have glossed over it.

Re: Suppress the vote
So the special prosecutor is not going to investigate? Didn't the special prosecutor for the Plame case investigate? I sort of assumed that was part of the job.Lurker wrote:An investigation already happened. The DOJ issued a 540 page report and recommended a special prosecutor.

Hmmmm.....sort of sounds like she will be continuing the investigation. As part of the fallout, yesterday Attorney General Mukasey announced the appointment of Nora R. Dannehy as special prosecutor to continue the investigation.

And yet you think the continued investigation is going to conclude that there was no story because they serve at the whim of the President. That is the height of ignorance.

Yes they serve at the whim of the President......and there is no story here. Nothing is going to come of it just like nothing came of the Plame matter. If you don't like two answers in one response....then don't ask two questions in one query.

Re: Suppress the vote
Well last I heard other than Libby's issue which had nothing to do with the "leak" of her name and everything to do with how he handled his interactions with the SP......yeah nothing came of it. Armitige.....Rove.....nothing.Lurker wrote:Nothing came of the Plame matter? Wow. You are the wing-nuttiest.
Sort of like the Whitewater investigation......other than Clintons interaction with the SP....nothing came of it.

Re: Suppress the vote
So you think that the special prosecutor is going to release a finding saying, "They serve at the whim of the President. There is no story here." Or something to that effect. As I said, you are stunningly ignorant.

No....I think she will release a report saying that the firings were poorly handled but that no charges will be filed against anyone. Just more tax dollars burned on the altar of partizan politics.Lurker wrote:So you think that the special prosecutor is going to release a finding saying, "They serve at the whim of the President. Let's both go on the record here with our predictions.....Harlowe feel free to speak your mind on it too.
What do you think the SP will find on this matter?

Re: Suppress the vote
We'll see. So far you couldn't have been more wrong about every aspect of this scandal since it broke. Not surpising since you determined that there was no story and stopped paying attention after about one day.
