Oh, no. I take several people on this board quite seriously when they're in a serious discussion, Dd being the most obvious one.
You, my fine Nallowin, however, are just....words can't describe the level of intellectual vaucousness you bring to the board on a daily basis.

The more you post and call me names the more you confirm that no one on this board deserves to be taken seriously.

Derailed? What thread on this board has ever not been derailed by the 5th page with the lone exception of the LOL thread?
They constantly jump the tracks, crash, and flame out before they come back like the phoenix to repeat the process over and over again.

Re: Clinton v. Obama
The Democrats would be smart to put Hillary as Obama's VP, if she'd accept the position. It would certainly beat McCain because it would be the classic "clean" President and "attack dog" VP.

Re: Clinton v. Obama
I think that's the general consensus by the people on the outside looking, but her ego... I just don't think she'd take it. And as far Obama... I wouldn't want someone as the VP who is gunning for the Presidency as an ambition. He's going to have to much to worry about without Hillary running her own agenda.Ddrak wrote:The Democrats would be smart to put Hillary as Obama's VP, if she'd accept the position. Penn out.

Probably a good thing for the Clinton capmpaign, if she becomes the nominee (unlikely). The guy was out of touch. His vision lacked the depth of dimension to counter Obama's appeal. That, and he was a negative energy within her campaign. She'll have to deal with the power vacuum (expect Bill to fill in there), and I doubt if she will replace him, other than in name only.
Watch the Clintons become more controlling over the next 6-8 weeks. Billary will start to direct like a dictator, controlling every utterance, and scripting every event. Its the only thing she (they) know how to do. And ironically, it's probably their only hope. (Other than destroying the party with vicious attacks on Obama... which I find more likely)

The nice thing about giving someone the VP position is there's nothing they can actually do from that role without being given it by the President.Embar Angylwrath wrote:And as far Obama... Re: Clinton v. Obama
Other than. Hello? Becoming President when you die?
There have been several arm out of neck groups out there that have said, you become pres, we end your term premptively.
Say what you will about the government stepping it up, but I fail to see how you can compete vs people willing to win outside of rules you have been given.
Reason I bring this up, lets go back to whitewater. The top 2 'witnesses' vs the clintons die.
Obama would be wise to find someone other than Hillary

Penn's still drawing a check, btw. He wasn't fired, merely 'demoted' and is still advising the campaign.

There are enough people who feel that way about Obama that it is worth consideration. I don't think it will ever be successful, but I am willing to bet that crackpots are thinking of ways to do it.

Re: Clinton v. Obama
Nah - he's right. Obama will be a bigger assassination target than a white male President like GWB or McCain. There's just too many people around who are racist enough and nutty enough to try it. The SS would already be well aware of that and probably have plans in the works already on how to deal with the issue.
What I don't believe though is having Hillary as a VP would be any more or less dangerous than not having her. In fact, it would be kinda like GWB having Cheney as a VP - an insurance policy against assassination. They wouldn't dare assassinate him because if they did then Hillary would be President!

Re: Clinton v. Obama
The Klan has publicly stated they will go after him should he win. The ss can be as careful as they like, you would have to have security tight for a 1 mile radius of the man no matter where he went. Sure they dont want it to happen but there is proof that we even have native terrorists here in america. Hell all someone has to do is know hes home at the whitehouse and drive a u-haul nearby and let er rip. As anyone trained in counter-terrorism will tell you . If someone is willing to die for a cause, you need to make sure they do so before they find their objective.
you can call it tin hattery, I just am stating the obvious. Theres parts of the south that still have signs about dogs and n's not allowed on the grass. And coming from Australia, you should even remember it wasnt long ago your own country had the white policy.
Sad fact is this is 2008 and we still cant see past the color / gender issue in my opinion.
