Re: Clinton v. Obama
I'm simply noting that, in the world of politics, you take nothing for granted.
David Broder's column either today or yesterday pointed that out as well.
It's all nice and well to proclaim that a Barack Obama without a single drop of black blood gets steamrolled by Hillary, but it can't be proven. By all accounts, Obama has run an almost perfect campaign versus an opponent who, despite all her initial advantages, ran a really really crummy one. I mean, crummy for the ages type crummy. I'll take no bets on that one.

Re: Clinton v. Obama
I tend to agree with Partha, in part, in that Clinton's demise was her own doing, in that she really ran a bad campaign. Her plan was to have locked up the nomination in Feb. She never anticipated having to go the distance in 50 states. Obama, however, started with a 50 state strategy. Add to that the in-fighting within the Clinton camp, and you end up with a miserably managed run for the White House.
The only thing that has carried Clinton this far is her name recognition. If it were anyone else but Clinton, Obama would have locked up the nomination already.

Correction Mr. President, I DID build this, and please give Lurker a hug, we wouldn't want to damage his self-esteem.

Re: Clinton v. Obama
Nobody is qualified to be President in their own right. The only thing that gives them a chance of doing it properly is surrounding themselves with good advisers. I think Obama has a good shot if he does that and comes out moderate. I think Clinton is rapidly losing relevance.

Here is Hillary, and her account about landing in Bosnia under sniper fire, and running to the safety of their cars, with no arrival ceremony. And also the actual film footage of that terrifying ordeal.

Awesome.. I wonder if she'll spin it so that she "dived in front of the four-year old to save the child's life, sheilding her percious body with my own".
Or.. "it all depends on what your definition of "reception ceremony is" is.
Or.. "when I said we were landing under sniper fire, what I meant to say was that we were aware there had been sniper fire somehwere in the country quite recently, and since were flew over the country, we were always exposed to sniper fire (at 30,0000 feet)"
Or... "When I said we were told to run to the cars and keep our heads down, I was interrupted before I could finish the rest of that statement. You see, it had started to drizzle, and my hair-do was starting to frizz, so I asked where the cars were, and we ran that way"

I think we can get most of the board to agree that Hillary is a joke.

I think everyone in the world can agree that she is a joke when her whole campaign was based around hiding her own last name and calling herself "Hillary"

Re: Clinton v. Obama
That should balance out all the republicans who said they would vote for a democrat before they would vote for McCain.

Re: Clinton v. Obama
I think as the primary recedes into memory, members of both parties will get behind their party's nominee.
I still have reservations about voting for McCain, but I'm considering it more now than I did right after Romney lost. Of course if McCain picks Romney as his VP candidate my choice will become clear.

Well a bit farther down the article they actually did ask a question like that.....and it would balance out if McCain does not select a VP "considerably more concervative" than he is.Klast Brell wrote:That should balance out all the republicans who said they would vote for a democrat before they would vote for McCain.

I wish there were better studies showing who gives up and stays at home on election day. I see that as a more likely scenario for any average partisan voter than crossing party lines.

Chelsea is blind if she doesn't realize that it is certainly not a private matter when there is the appearance of quid pro quo in the Clinton marriage.
