Just got greenlit by Steam, which is what got my notice. The graphics are pretty much ass, but that's expected from an indie developer. And with the funding that will probably get better. As far as the content goes, this seems to have pretty much everything I've ever wanted in a video game.
Minecraft, only more realistic, type crafting system. Tower Defense + FPS type action. Skills system. No Rules Co-op multiplayer. Zombie Apocalypse with a realistic theme. Seriously, this looks amazing. I'm stoked. I went ahead & purchased the $35 to get Alpha & Beta releases.

w3rd. Though I think there's a good chance. I mean they have a pretty good pre-alpha already in place & now they have another 500k to work with. Plus, and probably more importantly, they were greenlit by Steam. The money tends to flow like water once peeps get ahold of that.
Of course that isn't always the case. I started playing a game called Towns a while back that was pretty fun, and it had like 12 updates right away, but after that first bunch of fat bank started coming in the dev has slowed to a crawl. Haven't seen an update in a long time.
We will see. I'm pretty stoked though. I'll update when I get some play time in this weekend.

Alpha is interesting. World is really pretty good already but you can see there's so much more they could add. Nice flavor so far - could definitely be a better Minecraft.

Yeah, I am totally digging it. I can't wait to get into the co-op & you know PVP is going to be a big factor as resources become scarce. I do hope the devs maintain their theme towards a realistic approach.
They are going to have to slow down the farming thing. I can grow a months worth of food in like a day.

Dd, from reading the forums it looks like there is a 4 person slot per server limit right now in alpha. If you find a sever or run one let me know. I'd like to get on one with a couple good bros.

Re: 7 Days To Die
I got behind a few builds, but the new Alpha 8 build is pretty impressive. They made all the terrain smooth. No more Minecraft look.
The new crafting system is freaking amazing too. Game continues to get better.
Switching stuff in your hands is more realistic too. It isn't instant.
Devs are doing it right. Seem to be moving towards a more realistic direction.

Sounds pretty good. I do like the way this one's shaping up, and hoping they put a decent story in once they have the mechanics working the way they want.
