Falling Skies, Season 3. What Did You Think?

Overall I liked it. It is getting better with age.

There were a few things that bugged me though. Primarily, these large distances some of the characters travel in amazingly good time. "Let's go see the President!" Get in a plane. Things go bad, you don't have a plane anymore and your all f'ed up yet it only seems to take a day to crawl your busted ass back to Charleston.

Anyway, I did enjoy the whole "mole" storyline. I kept guessing wrong.

I've been enjoying it, even if some aspects irritate me at times - you know, when you go "DOH, that was so obviously bone-headed", but overall I think it keeps getting a bit better. The travel part is definitely kind of a "whu?", because like you mentioned, it's fast and it's so convenient how they happen to have or come across whatever mode of transportation they need (cars, horses, trucks, planes and boats).

Not to mention the enormous plot hole of this race of aliens that were capable of taking down our entire planet, all of it's massive military, but yet because they get a couple new guns can't obliterate this tiny settlement of people that is right out in the open & they already know about? Come the fuck on...

I think I'm just pining for a show that takes a true look at an apocalyptic situation. Walking Dead does an ok job of it, probably closer than most, but I haven't seen a show or even a movie that did it right with exception maybe The Road.

The finale was interesting. Kind of fell flat at the end.

The only thing that really irks the fuck out of me is the . . .

"Oh, we're traveling along, have to be alert, need to be on our toes . . . let's have an in-depth conversation about our love life.

Shut the fuck up about this bullshit!

I heard they are getting new writers next season, so I hope they cut out on the soft, tender moments at weird times.

Let's not talk about our feelings every time we have a moment.

I also thought that Pope was more of a loud-mouth, annoying dumbass this season. I want the old Pope back.

Cool stuff? Cochise is cool. Rebel skitters are cool. Lordes not being the most whiny, stupid, annoying character on the planet. That was nice. Xenophobic scientist. He's alright.

It took me 2 minutes and a pause of his face and another minute of him speaking for me to get my g/f to acknowledge that is was him. Good to see him branching out...a little.
