Season finale was alright.. pretty boring compared to the previous episode of course. Going to be a long break before next season!

w3rd. Entertaining enough but considering it followed the crimson wedding episode you can't help but feel it a bit dull. Should give us 3 more episodes & end on a good cliff hanger. Oh well, at least Newsroom is about to come back on. :D

Hell yeah on Newsroom!

The ending was so meh. I mean, there were good parts. Arya going apeshit on that Frey soldier was badass.

We finally resolved our issues with Comcast. They did get us to commit to a 2 year contract but they gave us the farm, which includes free HBO for the entire 2 year duration. We got some good promo rate which even includes the extra DVR for my mother in law, and they made a large balance (we stopped paying it out of frustration) go away to zero. I forget what else, but let's just say the "loyalty department" made the missus happy.

I'm just happy to have HBO for season 4 and 5 of GoT. At the start of the season, HBO would've brought our bill up to about $300 a month, and now we're paying $99 for two years with HBO for free /happy dance. Now we just wait for season 4 :(

Another good piece (thanks DD!) about I09 and what might be covered in season 4....

Spoilers for those who haven't gotten to books 4/5.

You know the Stannis in the books is turning out to be FAR, FAR better than the show. He's becoming one of my favorites. I'm totally rooting for that guy.

Stannis is awesome. And I like him more and more as the series progresses. I do like the actor, but he has more scenes with the Red Witch in the series and seems more, I dunno, obsessed with her in the HBO version than he does in the books.

In the TV series he's totally on board for the lord of light (in the book he's kind of snarky about it) and seems to be the witch's water boy.

Yeah, just wait until ADWD. :) I was looking forward to a few particular POVs just to see what Stannis was doing. Some of the stuff surrounding him made me LOL in such an awesome way. I won't say any more than that. :)

Wife finally finished ADWD. Not being able to spoil the ending after 2 years was affecting our relationship. But the flip side is that I have to finish Catching Fire before the movie comes out.

It's still weird having to force myself to read. The brain injury was almost 4 years ago and I still have this one weird side effect.

I'm already going through withdrawals. Even True Blood and Jason's awesome one-liners (naked superman!) cannot ease my pain.

Shame on you! Mentioning that horrible show in a thread about this wonderful show! Shame!
