Grab me any time you wanna duo-queue ranked, X-man! Your main is Kageru, right? Or was that your smurf? (I got confused from browsing your earlier posts in this thread)

Welcome to online gaming of the new millenium! I lost 2 promo series because of people who couldn't speak English and just had a game where not 1, not 2, but ALL of my teammates didn't speak English. It's incredibly frustrating, and Riot refuses to do anything about it because of the cycle of how they get their money...

1. You buy a skin
2. You get queued with BRs
3. You rage at BRs after weeks of having crappy players on your teams who just don't fucking listen
4. BRs report you
5. Repeat 2-4 until you're permabanned
6. You have to repurchase all of those skins
7. Repeat from 1

It's ridiculous, and there's no reason why they can't just have an option to select a language.
I'd like to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my ass.

I'm not sure how the matchmaking works for promo series. I played through at least 10 promo series to get from Silver 2 to Silver 1. I've never seen so many trolls / afkers / noobs in my life. It's like they match you to intentionally lose if you are about to get promoted. It seems like if you've earned that many promo series without passing, it's a sign that you deserve to be in a better league.

Kageru's my main account now, Tax. I'm usually afk, with it just left on, though. I'm thinking I might start using the other account, because it's unranked, but I'd have to buy so many champs on it, it probably isn't worth it. Haha.

My biggest problem is that if I don't get a solo lane (top, mid, jungle) the team loses. I tried maining Twitch for a little bit and I'd absolutely wreck team fights, but without a decent support, I just fall too far behind. I don't like relying on my team so much.

Ever try jungling twitch? I don't know if this works anymore (I haven't played season 3 at all, I know they nerfed leashing and changed the jungle balance), but you used to be able to take blue team's red first and then had a pretty good shot at getting first blood bot and possibly double kill. works really well if your team is running a support like blitz, alistar, naut, or even taric.

From that point forward you just roam and gank and harass their jungler, no point in farming the jungle really (he's not too good at it anyway), you may get tons of kills or you may peter out but your team has basically won bottom lane if they don't screw it up.

AD/armor pen runs with movement speed quints. 21/9/0

Maybe start with red elixer. Twitch has incredible AD at level 1 anyway.

Works pretty well in mid elo solo queue. In teams, folks are usually too coordinated for this to work against them.

I have a penchant for gimmick builds btw.

Same here! I especially enjoy Leona and Garen in the jungle. Leona requires your laners to be able to assist you, but with teamwork you can usually get an easy kill every gank.

What would your guys' top 3 favorite champions be? I play a lot more than 3 but I'd say these are my favies:
1) Lux
2) Leona
3) Fiddlesticks

Probably my most played three are Signed (top), Karthus (mid), and Shyvana (jungle ... I haven't really played ranked since they nerfed AoE junglers and I probably wouldn't pick her up currently though).

I'll play anyone though.

My favorite role is actually support (janna specifically) but I don't get to play it much because playing support in solo queue is an exercise in frustration -- and when i queue with my buddies they never want to play ad carry.

In terms of gimmick builds I'd have to say my favorite is jungle karthus. Yes jungle karthus. Only in draft in duo or teams though. He's not the best at jungling (though his ganks with the wall are really good), but the idea is to win in champ select. Since karthus is so weak mid vs harassing champs, he is fairly easy to counter in draft mode if he is the first mid picked. So what you do is pick karthus asap and try to get the other team to pick a mid to counter karthus like akali, leblanc, kassadin, fizz, etc. then you have your buddy pick lee sin mid, and the other team will think that's your jungler. when they see karthus with smite on the loading screen, they don't know what the fuck to do, and lee sin will crush whatever assassin mid they have.

AP tristana mid is fun too.

Hmm... Top 3, I'm not really sure. I can say without a doubt my favourite champion is Irelia, but after that there's a lot of runner-ups. Nasus, Diana, Anivia, Singed, Cho'Gath, Voli all rank up there for me. Irelia will always be my favourite, though. When I first started playing I used to pretty much only play Irelia. Had a lot of success with her. Even now, I think she's one of my best played champs, despite her relative low power compared to other top bruisers. Think I'm 20-9 with her in ranked, or something along those lines. Not sure what it is, but I've always really identified well with that champion in particular.

Fiance and I entered the League of Legends New Year's mask contest. Click the link below and a window should pop up with 'Haunting Guise & Liandry's Torment'. Click 'vote' at the top. Can do so every 10 hours. If you share the link around, that'd be cool. If you add my summoner name on there (Trydan) and I win, I'll give you skins. Everyone loves skins. Voting's free, and you don't have to be logged in or even play League of Legends to do so.

Just gave you a vote Turdy.

Did you see this Kha mask btw? He said he didn't make it before the competition deadline so at least you don't have to compete with him! :D

Keep voting! You can vote every 10 hours until the contest is over! They changed it so you can't see the number of votes anymore, and everything is randomized when you open the page because people were whining that it was 'unfair'.

I don't think people appreciate how hard it is to cut and shape 'cheap' (those base masks are like $10/each) plastic. I'm actually kinda shocked no one else bothered to try to do Liandry's Torment.

Been busy with life stuff, just wanted to pop in and say we won the mask contest. Ended up spending more than half of it on skins for friends since I already had Spirit Guard Udyr and Infernal Nasus (ironically, neither of which I play anymore). Haven't had time to do anything other than 1 or 2 aram games in the past week or so.

I quit playing because I got tired of matchmaking putting me in games with afkers, people who refused to communicate, or obviously brand new players who hit level 30 and jumped straight into ranked. Didn't matter how well I did, we'd still get stomped even if I was 14/2. You can't win a game alone even if you're snowballed if your team can't figure out the basics of the game.

On the flip, I miss it bc it was always funny playing with Tax bc he kept thinking I was Fallakin.

I don't really play it as much anymore, either. It just started to feel like a grind, for some reason.

And Tax always thought I was someone else too. Some friend of his with a similar name. Sometimes when we'd queue up, I'd just wait and see how many games it'd take him to realize.
