Any Bush apologists wanna tell us again about the evil WMD's and how we had to get rid of Saddam so's Junior could avenge the plot against his daddy?
Be sure and pile on that old 'if you're not with us, you're for Saddam!' bullshit, too.
Wonder how many ninnyhammers who got played like a fucking fiddle in 2003 will fess up to being a complete and utter dumbass.

Ten Years After
Well, it’s the Super-Monroe Doctrine: “Get off our oil, people who dress funny!” - M. Bouffant
"You're a bad captain, Zarde. People like you only learn by being touched, and hard. And you will greatly disapprove of where these men put their hands." - M. Vanderbeam.

Re: Ten Years After
It wasn't so much the WMD thing that bothered me - Saddam was doing a lot of crazy shit that made him look awfully guilty. The idea that the US would be met with open arms and be in-and-out in a very short time was the biggest error. Had he gone in with a "this will be a decade long effort that will cost us dearly, but I believe it's worthwhile" message then it would have been much less of a con.
Mostly, I think the fault was believing the messages coming out of exiles and people with (what should have been) obvious reasons to dress up the invasion as far more justifiable than it was.
