Woo hoo! For those of you not on FB - I was just accepted into a Ph.D. program. I'll be studying video game narratives and how they may/may not contribute to learning transfer and/or engagement. I'll also delve into audience theory (looking at culture and identity).

Got full funding (a GRA and will teach a few courses) which means I get a full tuition waiver plus insurance coverage (covered) and around $2100/month.

I may be Dr. Lulu in a few years. That has a nice ring to it.

Yeah, our video game is trying to teach about cognitive bias, so I can definitely sound like a total D-bag at parties about stuff like confirmation bias and fundamental attribution error. And it's only because this stuff is crammed into my head all the time, not because I'm super smart. It's like the Monkey/Shakespeare thing.
