Apple are seriously asking for a contempt charge here...

Post by Ddrak »

So, after being told to put a corrective notification on their website, then being told that a note saying "A UK judge says we should say sorry but a real jury says we're ok" doesn't qualify, they put the code up but:

1. Deliberately throw javascript on their UK home page (http://www.apple.com/uk) that expands the images to ensure the notice is always off-screen, and
2. Stopped redirecting http://www.apple.com to the UK site for UK residents as they used to before the notice was forced on them (the redirect now happens at the store site).

I know I've got a bias here, but that just seems childish and petulant to me, and I can't see a judge that's already told them he's upset with their behaviour once being at all pleased with this one. While I would be surprised to see prison time, I can't see them getting away with it.

How freakin lame. I love my iPod, but Apple as a company and their rabid fan base drive me nuts.

Yeah I love my shuffle too but just because a company makes good products doesn't mean they aren't run by a bunch of greedy megalomania fucktards. They suck. Burn'em Down!
