Shit Minute, I'm sorry you are fucking dealing with that. I've just had a few injuries take me out for awhile and the pain was far less an issue than the actual mental depression from not working out like you were use to. God I had a fucking shitastic year recovering from a knee injury and plantar facsiitis from long distance running. I know it's not surgery, but fuck, it ruined running for several years and depressed the shit out of me. Just anything that interferes with your normal exercise routine can really bring you down. Hope you recover quick. Swimming helps and its generally something anyone rehabilitating can do. Good luck though Minute, I'm rooting for a quick recovering!

Hey, not to completely change the subject, but because we both appreciate Quest protein bars - I don't know if this is new or not - but I just saw Quest Strawberry Cheesecake protein bars avail and ordered some.

Ya, it's been around. They are ok to keep some variety going. They also have Lemon Cream & Apple pie. In fact, I'll list all their flavors below. It's kinda hard to say 1 is better than another with these because some are vastly different. Texture & flavor. I originally got 1 of each of the 2 different variety packs. My favorites are still Cinnamon Roll & Vanilla Almond Crunch.

And thanks for the well wishes gang. I'm pretty intuitive. I'm sure I'll figure something out. What I'm probably going to do is cut a lot of my mass exercises out & up my lean exercises. I just have to find the right balance so as to avoid injuring my upper body. That and do planks till my eyeballs bleed!

Maintaining a good 190 lbs here, which I'm fine with. I still don't eat healthfully at all (drinking, mcdonalds, etc.) but I feel great! It'll be 2 years since my surgery in December, so I'll post some more pictures then.

I take a cal-mag & D-zinc supplement and a multi-vitamin and/or prenatal vitamin depending on what 'state' I'm in.

We eat a very healthy, whole and organic diet due to Gluten, dairy, soy allergy/intolerance issues.

The new chocolate crunch ones look pretty awesome. If you watch their FB page, they just offered a one-day early order for those (before it goes into their full line), so I ordered one. I'll let you know how those are if you didn't get in on it.

IIRC this thursday they are offering a new choc-peanut butter one as well. I think it will be a few months before it's offered for regular ordering.

Just a quick attention whoring update. Surgery is done, all went well. Went for my checkup & doc says based on my thigh twitch & degree of bendability I am WAY ahead of the curve. I'ma be rockin it again in no time.

Thats great minute! Keep up with the P/T..works wonders but I am sure you know that! P/T did wonders for my hip replacement and I am back to squating, walking..can't wait to start running again so I can play paintball!

I'm not jogging yet, but getting close. Been doing 10 minutes a day on the stationary bike. Looking forward towards running some I found this & thought I'd share. Apparently you run out to get stuff, can hear the zombies getting closer to you & such at certain times, and can build up a base of stuff. Sounds pretty fun.

It's been 2 years now since I went to Mexico and got a gastric sleeve (my "sleeversary" is December 10th) and not much has changed in the last year. I'm maintaining a pretty standard 190 lbs and still hit the gym up frequently. I drink too much and eat unhealthily still, but I feel pretty good most days and give my body what it needs. The hardest stuff I deal with now are social situations involving meals (work lunches, dinner dates, etc.) I usually just play the "I'm not that hungry I'll just take the rest to go and eat it later" card but sometimes get weird looks when I can only eat 1/5th of the meal at the actual restaurant.

In health news, I've lost some weight since I had sinus surgery. Oxycodone utterly kills my appetite. Getting more walking in and want to lift weights starting in January when they open up the new facility on campus (and it goes 24 hours, weee!).

I'm set for another surgery in December, this time for cataracts. Yeah, nice, eh? I'm 41 with cataracts. Apparently, they're medically induced. So, I get new "eyes" and may not have to wear glasses/contacts again for a long-ass time. Huge deal as I've been in glasses and contacts since I was 17.

And, insurance will cover most of it since it's a medical issue.

Im stuck squinting the right eye, because contact is being rejected. No glasses. No insurance or $ either. But hey, I can still wear one contact and see where I'm going. Kindof like a periscope! (also: it don't take 2 contact lenses to troll)
