While Microsoft and Time Warner were among buyers approached about a potential sale, Vivendi was last reported to be finding ‘little enthusiasm’ in selling its stake and could instead opt to allow Activision Blizzard to reacquire its own stock.

Vivendi will report its earnings for the first half of its fiscal year on August 30th, at which point concrete information about the sale of Activision Blizzard or other assets is expected to be revealed. Activision Blizzard, meanwhile, will reveal its second quarter results on August 2nd.

The ideal end result would be that Activision and Blizzard are separate entities again... Activision and Vivendi have ruined Blizzard.
