Re: New Forum
I used to be a huge NFL fan before women and children invaded my life and monopolized all the TVs.
We used to go see the Raiders every home game at the LA Coliseum before they went back to Oakland. 40,000 fans all dressed in black with nothing but black cars in the parking lot. It was in a really bad part of town too. It was this totally surreal experience. I was also at the last game there, before they left LA, which I believe that was also Joe Montana's last game (with the Chiefs) before he retired. This guy wearing a Joe Montana Chiefs jersey needed to have a police escort to go get nachos. That's how hard core the rivalry was and the fans in general. I knew people who were scared to go with us to the games.
Now ... sports are just about the kids ... If my son plays football his senior year next year then we'll go to all the games.
Outdoors isn't really a sport but I live near the best camping on earth here in the Inland Northwest. I'm getting more into that. Haven't been to a Seattle game yet. Our team sucks anyway. I'd rather be on a pontoon boat snapping pics of the bald eagles on lake Pend Oreille in Idaho.

Re: New Forum
Might I suggest a change to 'Sports' from 'Sport'?

Re: New Forum
I was thinking "Sport and Sports" but that sounded a little silly. If you think Sports is better then fine...

I'm just seeing the Sports forum now...and I'm a die-hard Chiefs fan, and Joe Montana is the greatest quarterback to ever play the game!Freecare Spiritwise wrote:I used to be a huge NFL fan before women and children invaded my life and monopolized all the TVs.

I'd like to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my ass.

His last two seasons as a Chief I think? He was a great quarterback, but I think his student, Steve Young was better.
