Yeah, I suppose there are a few reasons not to have Gmail, but they are slim. It's seriously the beez kneez!

I just bought my own domain(s) and run my own mail server, but I wouldn't recommend that for most people. Work's moving from Exchange to GMail (well the business version), which will be an interesting transition.

We used to run our own servers (and still do internally and for testing) but the administration of our primary domain was almost a full time job so we farmed it out. Now our IT guy just deals with it in case one of us has a problem. I was against farming it out at first, but it's been super reliable for like 5 years now so I'm happy with it.
