Specter lost his primary election, to the great surprise of exactly no-one. Randomly clicking on counties on the state return map, it appears that the only county he won was his hometown of Philadelphia.

More interesting, the race to replace Murtha, the Democrat, Mark Critz won, by about 54.4% to 44.3%, mostly by running as a Blue Dog. They both spent a shitload on the race, but only the Republiteacan Party was ringing my phone off the hook - I was getting 3-6 robocalls a day. It was annoying, but I didn't really get pissy about it until they started calling with the recorded voice of Caribou Barbie. Hate that bitch so much.

That makes Obama 0-4 in his support for candidates, although I think he his support of Specter was lukewarm at best. He could have put more effort in it assuredly.
