Iron Man 2
As a movie to tell the history of Tony Stark: Awesome Movie
As a movie to entertain: Kind of lacking
Overall: It was good, it had plenty of one liners and I wasn't disappointed at all. It just felt as though it dragged on a little in the middle as they were going into Tony's "family" history.

Re: Iron Man 2
I saw it last night with a friend and we both felt pretty "meh" afterwards. Definitely not as good as the first one, but it had some good scenes in it too. I'd wait until it came out on video though, nothing special to see here.

If you're there just to see shit blow up you won't be disappointed, you will get a little bored in the middle of the movie though.

It doesn't suck or anything and the blowing-shit-up part is good, but I did get a little bored. It's not nearly as good story-wise and acting as the first one.

Yeah it had good action scenes and such, but again, nothing special. Typical zzzsequel IMO, take familiar parts from the first movie and try to use them again with new villain/setting/friends.

Ok, just finished seeing it and I really liked it. I don't know what some of you whiners are going on about.
It did get slow in the middle, but I enjoyed that information, etc.
Did you guys stay until after the credits to see Thor's hammer?

I'm not whining, just trying to inform. I think I'd actually enjoy it more if I went to see it again.Alluveal wrote:Ok, just finished seeing it and I really liked it. I don't know what some of you whiners are going on about.

Yea, Mjolnir could've looked better.

Well adding my "meh" into the lot. Wasn't bad, but I only said "Wow" once through the whole movie & that was when Scarlet Johanson first showed up.

Yep, what Fall said. Not whining or going on about anything, just found it to be pretty "meh", in general. Scarlett's big action scene was probably my favorite part, it was like wrestling-ninja-girl.
This is one you'd want to see on the big screen vs. DVD, because the story just isn't that good.

Re: Iron Man 2
It was an okay movie. Certainly not bad, but definitely didn't meet expectations, either. I think my favourite parts were the exchanges between Stark and the Shield agent. Considering the cast, I expected more of that, but didn't get it.

I have a feeling there was a lot of great dialogue left on the cutting room floor.

I dunno about the theater you guys watched it but the scene from the trailer where Pepper kisses his helmet & then throws it off the plane wasn't in there at all.

I noticed that too, guess they just ended up cutting it out (which I don't mind at all, new content ftw).Minute wrote:I dunno about the theater you guys watched it but the scene from the trailer where Pepper kisses his helmet & then throws it off the plane wasn't in there at all.

Re: Iron Man 2
It was in the first one. I think they just recycled it from that movie.
