If true, the people involved in this should serve jail time. It is absolutely against the law to offer someone monetary recompense (either flat out in a cash payment, or washed through a job), with the intent of changing election dynamics. If true, this is a bribe from an administration that wanted to change the way things were done in Washington.

Note also that Sestak hasn't said anything specific about who offered him what job. That information needs to come out. If the parties (White House and Sestak) refuse to answer preliminary questions a more formal investigation should begin.
