According to the CBO, the long term impact is trillions in deficit reduction.

You made a short term argument against the bill, ignorantly saying that the bill wasn't paid for because Congress wouldn't enact the Medicare savings when the Medicare savings were already in the bill, and everything you've said since then has been a deflection.

You've morphed your argument four times now. I'm done playing whack-a-mole with you.

Hey I'm not making you post.

The CBO doesn't make predictions beyond 10 years because there are too many variables. They can make an educated guess and basically said if everything trends as it has been then the trend you mention could continue. But they also noted that the rapid pace of technological change in the medical field makes any kind of long range estimate nearly impossible. I prefer to look at the past as a predictor of the future. And nothing yet has stemed the tide of Medicare costs in the long run because it's just been a bunch of bandaid bullshit.

You are of course free to have your own opinion.....as am I.

Hitler still said it and its an ideology that you agree with.

Tell me, how does that make you feel?
Saying that businessmen can be greedy and shortsighted isn't an ideology, dumbass. It's an observation.

Hitler also thought the sky was blue, just like you. How's that make you feel?

I realize you're desperate, but jeez. Try HARDER!

Which is why he supported the Iraq invasion, because our past history of killing leaders of other countries has worked so well at fostering peace and cooperation. Heh.

There is a lot of bashing big business by saying they're all "dividend-hungry businessmen" who are "greedy", "ruthless", "short-sighted" and "narrow-minded".
That's actually the basis of free-market capitalism. Adam Smith took that as a postulate and pretty much said that if everyone acts that way then it balances out and somehow works out in the end.

Rand, Engels, Marx, Hitler, Friedman, etc. all use this in different ways to promote their own agendas.

Think it has worked out far better than our past history of appeasing dictators.

Quit being obtuse. Obviously Hitler thought that Big Corporations would ruin the country with their greed and carelessness, just like you seem to.

Anyone want to join me in telling the ignorant wingnut to STFU and to stop comparing Partha and liberals to Hitler and the Nazis?

Harlowe and I defended Jecks of all people when we thought Partha crossed the line. I'd think Fallakins hateful wingnut lunacy would be out of bounds even on Rants. Embar? Kulaf? Anyone?

Nice job Fallakin, you continue to dazzle us with your continued lowering of the "political crazy" bar. You have zero capacity to reason and barely enough firing synapes to keep you out of the vegetable category.

I'm comparing all Liberals to Hitler? Progressives, maybe. Certainly not Liberals.

It astounds me how you continue to put words in my mouth.

Some things shouldn't be ignored. Comparing liberals or progressives to Nazis is insane and hateful. If a few people point out that Fallakin is unhinged he would either STFU or, more likely, claim he was just being facetious, which would lead to him either shutting the fuck up or pretending to moderate his opinions for a few months. Either way, the level of discourse would improve.

Looks like the Dems can scratch a Delware seat, the one held by current VP Biden.. Beau Biden, Joe Biden's son, has dropped out of race. Its now pretty much a lock for Castle. The Reps now look to pick up Obama's old seat, Biden's seat, and of course they already have Kennedy's seat.
Correction Mr. President, I DID build this, and please give Lurker a hug, we wouldn't want to damage his self-esteem.

No one should make those kinds of aspersions, unless of course you call them
irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, tea bagging, supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees
Its ok if you call them that...

I'm on record saying that Olbermann is in the same category as Glenn Beck, so obviously I don't approve of that rhetoric. I didn't catch the Olbermann statement since I refuse to watch his show, but John Stewart did a nice job pointing out how absurd Olbermann has become.

It would be nice if you'd speak out against a hateful, unhinged wingnut who lowers the discourse of a board you post on, but if you want to take a pass that's up to you.

Kulaf is probably right, the best way to handle people like Fallakin is to ignore them. They are beyond reason. It's just a freak show. But then again, why accept that kind of behavior?

Embar, you know that's kind of lacking any testicular fortitude. You won't say anything again, but YOU WILL bring up some media person's rhetoric that was neither said, repeated nor supported here in response to someone that is behaving like a hateful, irrational douchebag? I think we've gone on record more than once comparing Olbermann to Glenn Beck, so ...you know, you are basically supporting his insane, hateful rhetoric. Why do I say this? Because you are not only turning a blind eye to it, you're trying to turn it back on others with a ridiculous "well, I guess it's okay if YOU do it" when that is a complete lie.
Embar Angylwrath wrote:I've already commented On Fall's rhetoric before. Me saying it again won't change anyhting.
Absolutely wrong, he dials it back when more than one side calls him out.

Like Lurker said, we have said something when any side crosses the line into hateful and crazy. Would be nice if all sides of an issue had some backbone against this sort of bullshit.

Funny, I'm lowering the discourse of the board. This coming from the guy who continually links past posts and repeats himself over and over again.

I repeat myself when necessary, and if someone asks the same question that was asked and answered months earlier I'll link back to the past instance. Just like Hitler!!!

Anyways, it seems to be settled. Some want to just ignore you and some think it's important to point out that your rhetoric is unhinged... but everyone thinks you're a worthless douche.
