I am liking Hung, though its still just kind of filler between True Blood and Entourage for me.

Re: True Blood
Damn, that last True Blood was fookin' awesome.
I heard Evan Rachel Wood is playing the Vampire Queen (whoever that is) so I'm guessing that's who Bill went to visit.
Sookie's using some powers! Sweet!

Re: True Blood
Damn that was a good episode!!
That's kind of too bad, because I like the vampire queen character but I don't really care for Evan Rachel Wood and can't imagine her playing a French vampire very well. But ...we'll see. I was hoping they would actually use someone French.I heard Evan Rachel Wood is playing the Vampire Queen (whoever that is) so I'm guessing that's who Bill went to visit.

Re: True Blood
That last episode was great! I actually watched it twice in a row.
@ Sookie's new sparkle-mind powers. I wasn't expecting that at all, but I'm glad we got some action out of her. That was fun when Bill tries to bite Marianne. Ohhh and Bill and Sookie breaking Terra free. This episode had so much action. Oh yeah - Sam's ass too.

Yep, I quite like seeing Sam's butt too. It was nice and round . . . and not hairy at all.

Re: True Blood
I of course wanted to see some Eric & Sookie emo-angry-sex, so I enjoyed the teaser dream at the beginning too. This was just one of those really good episodes where it wasn't same-old, same-old and you weren't bored waiting for the scene to switch to something other than Terra and Eggs getting drunk/high etc with Marianne or Bill & Sookie mooning over each other.
I am even really starting to like Andy Bellefleur, he has these great little moments that make me chuckle. Nothing BWAHAHHAHA, but I am liking this self-deprecating, negative man.

I love Andy. I loved when Sam showed up at his hotel room naked and he just let the dude in. Weird stuff in the town trumps naked guy on your doorstep.

Re: True Blood
Andy is growing on me. I thought he was pretty annoying for a while but he definitely has his moments.
I must admit that I really like Marianne. Her power of making people indulge in drugs/violence/sex/gluttony is pretty cool. I loved when Sookie tried to read her mind and all she heard was chanting. Fun!

I'm happy Jason is away from the cult. He's much more interesting that way.

I liked Jason in the cult. I like Jason everywhere. I love his dumb, naive mentality and his eagerness to kick some ass--even if it's with a nail gun.

Re: True Blood
I'm glad they got the show back to kicking ass. The first 3 or 4 eps of S2 were pretty lame imo, but it's kicked itself back into high gear and I love it.
Godrick was a spectacular character, and I'm sad to see he's gone. Unfortunately, he didn't really seem to do anything during his presence on the show. He was the source of no conflict whatsoever, and his solutions were usually to do nothing. The character could have literally been written out without much change to the events of the episodes he was in. From what I've heard, in the books there were other reasons for his suicide beyond "we don't belong here." Apparently, he was a pedophile and wished to die because he hated his sexual urges and couldn't control them. I can definitely understand why that was left out, for the sake of the character's likability.
The cult freaks (I don't even remember their names now, the pastor and his wife) never seemed like much of a real threat to me. Their personalities were so wacky I just couldn't take them seriously. The last thing we saw from them, the TV interview, pretty much embodied how I always thought of them - inept and clumsy.
Jason away from that nonsense is better, imo. He's easily one of the most likable characters on the show, even when he's being a complete r-tard. It sure as hell doesn't hurt that he's fucking hawt, too.
Lafayette doesn't seem to have much of a place now. Given he was supposed to die I think the writers don't really know what to do with him now, because until this episode with Tara's "intervention" he seemed like a third wheel.
Marianne is freaking awesome! I agree that her plotline has been drawn out long enough, but it's definitely reached climax so hopefully it comes to a close next ep. I've been looking forward to seeing how that progresses every episode for weeks now, and the build up for it is very well done imo. I think it's more the Tara/Eggs aspect of that arc that's been dragging it down, because every episode for several weeks we just saw the same thing with them - bug eyes, sexorz, blackout. K, we know what Marianne does to people, move along please!
Overall, damn good and the only show currently that I anticipate watching.

Re: True Blood
Well only 2 more episodes this season, so I imagine the Maryanne story line will be wrapping up in those two episodes.
I really the climax that is finally building in the Maryanne story arc. The book is quite a bit different, so I am excited to see how it turns out.

Re: True Blood
I'm a dork and have been watching through season 1 again. It's funny how many subtleties are in the show that I didn't catch the first time through. Tons of hints about Sam, Rene having shifty eyes whenever they are talking about a murder, etc..
Lafayette cracks me up, but I agree that he is really dulled down in season 2 so far. I love the episode in season 1 when he's talking about Jason: "that boi is sex on a stick!!" haha

Bleh this show is getting fucking stupid again. It got better, even good, for a bit, but now it's just getting stupid. Come on HBO you can do better than this!

Re: True Blood
Kind of slow episode tonight.
Ummm, I usually dig Evan Rachel Wood, but wtf? It was like watching a high school play with her acting.

They spent way too much time on stuff that really wasn't interested or made absolutely no sense. Tara and her momma's conversation? Useless.
Tara's mom holding a gun on Lafayette? Useless.
Sookie laying on the floor with that guy? Useless.
The best scenes were the ones with Jason and Andy, and even those were pretty useless, though highly entertaining.

Re: True Blood
Oh good lord, Evan Rachel Wood was even more awful than I thought she would be. Which is saying something, because I thought she was going to make an awful and unbelievable Queen. Alan Ball screwed the pooch on that choice. She is totally, and unequivocally not the Queen of Louisiana character at all. Even though she was turned in her teens, she's suppose to be a FRENCH 1100 year old elegant, savvy vampire. ERW seems only capable of emulating her ex's ex-wife Dita Von Teese.
Absolutely awful performance, add to that a boring as HELL episode, no progress, no hot or funny or tense scenes. Just fluff, bullshit and terrible acting. Andy and Jason were the only bright moments in this and they weren't very great scenes, just somewhat comical.
