Adorable and touching story. Nothing too deep or too adult, but it was heartwarming. It's Pixar, so expect impressive visuals. If your theater is playing the short,
Partly Cloudy , one of my best friends worked on the lighting.
Also, dogs flying planes!

I thought the beginning was a little too deep for kids; a kid in the audience said "Where'd the little girl go" talking about Ellie. That whole opening sequence was, I felt, just too deep for kids to follow/understand.
Otherwise, the movie was awesome. Talking dogs, dog pilots with rubber bone controls, CONE OF SILENCE, and great character development... this movie was awesome the whole way through.
Wife didn't like Partly Cloudy, I thought it was really well done though.

I for one, am glad Pixar is going a bit darker. Toy Story 2 for example, while being a "kids" movie sports death as a huge theme. I loved UP.

You see the corpse in Lion King. Kids nowadays don't know what crying during a dark movie moment is.

I'm not usually one for crying during movies but I'll admit this had me choked up a few times. Some lady behind me was balling which didn't help. All in all, I really liked it but I don't know if I would sit through it again because of the depressing feeling it gave me.

Not nearly enough ass-kickings as a kid. Or perhaps too many?

Up was only decent cause we saw it on Digital 3d. If it hadn't been for that, it's likely my least favorite Pixar movie released to date.
