She's not dressed like a hippy, she's dressed like a bordertown prostitute.

Wifey and I went and saw it.. Was decent, but killing Devastator was a bad move; and it needed way more Soundwave, imo. Megatron as a flying tank = win.
Story was dumb as shit though.

First time was good as a popcorn flick... Second time I saw all the glaring flaws with the movie (like every time there was a dramatic scene change they straight up stole the sound from gears of war).

Re: Transformers Deuce
Many sound effects in games and movies come from effect sound CDs, and then the sound designer may tweak them a bit to taste. I remember we had a sound in one of our games that Quake later used and we were all pissed off til our sound guy showed us the CD it came from.

At least they didn't use the "Real TV scream"

I played far too much Doom1 back in college that whenever I hear an imp growl or a door open in a commercial, movie, etc my immersion is completely broken for a few seconds. I'm sure those sounds came from some industry standard CD with a bunch of audio clips; but I first heard them on Doom and that's what I relate those sounds to.

That always happens to me when I hear a gate opening because apparently everyone uses the same sound from gauntlet legends.Talaena wrote:my immersion is completely broken for a few seconds

Re: Transformers Deuce
The new ones do. I used to use a klaxon sound effect as my ring tone. I think i swiped it from the ring tones that came with my friends first gen iPhone. You would recognize it if you heard it. Then I started watching the new Dr Who. Every other episode you would hear it in the background.Ddrak wrote:At least the old Dr Who episodes never used anyone else's sound fx!
