Re: Terminator 4
Arnold was actually a T800 model 100 or 101, which is abbreviated to a T-100 yada yada. 800 is the series, the 100 part is the model.

Re: Terminator 4
Still haven't seen this yet, but I've read the overview on wiki and I'm curious about something that's probably a plot hole. In T1 Kyle mentions that the first "infiltration units" were easy to spot because they had rubber skin and such. It wasn't until the Arnie models with living tissue that Skynet was able to have any success with infiltration of resistance camps.
I take it from the lack of any mention of them that there are no such "rubber suit" Terminators in this film?

The timeline keeps changing and Skynet seems to have some knowledge about what occurs so my guess is after the 1st movie changed the timeline the rubber coated terminators were scrapped.

"Kyle Reese: The 600 series had rubber skin. We spotted them easy, but these are new. They look human... sweat, bad breath, everything. Very hard to spot. I had to wait till he moved on you before I could zero on him."

So basically they changed it when they decided to make a series of movies.

Re: Terminator 4
The thing that was missing in my opinion was the army of terminators fighting the humans. There just were never anything but big robots and a few solo terminators. They showed the factories, but never a big battle. You never had true war that was eluded to in the first movies.
So Skynet will set off a nuke on a satellite farm, but isn't smart enough to nuke the resistance outpost protected by magnetic mines?
And come on, there should have been more dogs then that...

I don't think they ever alluded to any large battle between humans and terminators. I mean after hundreds of megatons of nukes how many "normal" humans would be left in the world. And there is no way to keep up with production of terminators with normal human reproduction even if it was a forced reproduction scheme.Rsak wrote:The thing that was missing in my opinion was the army of terminators fighting the humans. Kulaf,
That is my very point. There was never a situation where the humans were outnumbered by the terminators. A war scene might not have been alluded too, but there is certainly scenes of 10+ terminators attacking humans, crunching skulls, etc.. and in this one it is always just gimmicks and single units. Where were the results of those factories?

Re: Terminator 4
Well since everything took place near Skynet there weren't a lot of humans in the area so there would be no need to have a significant machine presense in the area. Just enough to secure the grounds and more than enough to repel any attack before it got that close. And since there were a few hundred terminators being assembled in the factory reinforcements were just moments away.

My favorite part is where Lewis grabs the terminator as he's trying to get to the parking garage and says "MURPHY, IT'S YOU"

Didn't your mama ever tell you not to tango with a carrot?

I wanted to see more Blair/Marcus. That could have been fun and was super lame instead.
